Suhayl Saadi
was born in Yorkshire in 1961 to Pakistani parents but grew
up in Glasgow where he works as a medical doctor. He is
a published poet whose short-story collection The
Burning Mirror (Polygon, 2001)
was shortlisted for the Saltire Awards – with one
story from it winning second prize in the Macallan/Scotland
on Sunday Short Story Competition in 1999.
Psychoraag,
his most recent novel, was published by CHROMA
in 2004 and was shortlisted for the James Tait Black Memorial
Prize.
